TutorsForChange Recruiting Teenage Volunteers

San Diego Asian Americans For Equality (SDAAFE) is looking for teenagers who are interested in helping and tutoring children that are apart of the homeless community. This program, TutorsForChange, has a partnership with Solutions for Change.

This is a great opportunity to practice leadership skills, bond with other communities, and build character.

Solutions for Change is a charity organization that specializes in aiding the homeless community. The organization is located in Vista at North County. All volunteers will gather at the main office to begin helping and tutoring the children, in which the majority are elementary school students. We are looking for tutoring in Math and English, both of which are essential courses. Volunteering will take place every Sunday from 2:30pm to 4:30pm. To avoid conflicts, volunteers can choose when to go to accommodate their schedules.

We hope that the youth of the Asian American community can join us, Solutions for Change, and work together to help create a better and more promising future for those in need.

If those that are interested in helping, please fill out the enrollment and waiver form, then send them both to info@SDAAFE.org. The deadline is April 4th. We will email you back before midnight on April 5th to let you know whether you have been accepted or not. If you are accepted, you will be invited to join our first trial, which is scheduled on April 14th, to meet all the students. Forms are attached below.
